Situated in the beautiful Southern Forrest region of Manjimup, Western Australia, Dingup House  is is an immaculately maintained heratige homestead with over 150 years of history. It contains unique ensuite bedrooms decorated with genuine antique furnishings with a fresh modern influence. Lovely expansive gardens, a tennis court and a rustic old function barn oozing with character. Join us for dinner and a campfire, plan your wedding, private party or just relax with a cuppa on the veranda. Enjoy farm life experience by feeding the chooks and collecting eggs, pat the animals and be charmed by Lady Lola our resident dog.

Accommodation

A combination of queen size ensuite rooms and a two-bedroom cottage large enough to accommodate families or group bookings. We are licenced to accommodate 16 guests.

Local Food

Manjimup has some of the most productive agricultural land in Australia and is fast becoming a global food destination. From the rich black truffles in winter to fresh cherries in summer, there is something for every palate.

We cater for every special event from weddings, birthday parties, school balls or just a bespoke get together. Our function barn needs to be seen to be appreciated with stunning views over the Southern Forrest and capacity for over 100+ guests.

Manjimup and the Southern Forrests

Manjimup is a town in the South West Region of Western Australia known for its beautiful natural environment and unique food offerings.

The region is known for its lush green forests and undulating terrain making it a popular destination for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain bike riding and camping. The Blue Wren

The Splendid Blue Wren, also known as the Western Blue Wren is a spcies that native to South Western Australia. It is a small bird that is known for its striking blue and black plumage and is often considered to be one of the most brightly coloured birds in Australia.

The Southern Forrests

The native Southern Forest of Manjimup are dominated by tall, majestic Jarrah and Karri trees which can reach heights of 90 meters. These forrests are also home to a variety of of other tree species including Marri and Wandoo.

The Southern Forests of Manjimup are an important habitat for a variety of wildlife, including marsupials such as the Western Grey Kangaroo, the red tailed phascogale as well as species of birds such as the Western Rosella, Purple Crowned Fairy Wren and Western Spinebill. The forests also support a wide range of other wildlife including reptiles, amphibians and insects.

Manjimup is well know as a food destination listing in The Lonely Planet Guide (2022) in the top 5 global tourist destinations for fresh produce and wine.

 Some of the most noteable local fresh produce include, Cherries, Apples, Pears, Berries, fresh vegetables of all varieties, wine and the famous Black Truffle.

 If you are visiting Dingup House bed and breakfast we can introduce to you local growers which allows you to purchase direct from the farm gate.

Walks & Bike Riding

Manjimup is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts and it provides a range of opportunities for both hiking and mountain bike riding.

 With the Bibbulmun Track for walking and Munda Biddi bike tracks in close vicinity to Dingup House bed and breakfast you can easily plan a single day or multi stage event from the property.


Black Truffles

With a season commencing in June and finishing in late August, Manjimup Black Truffles are a unique and highly valued culinary ingredient and they are a key component of the food culture of South Western Australia.

If you are a food enthusiast or a gourmet cook you may want to consider trying some Manjimup Black Truffles yourself as the area is now one of the worlds larges Black Truffle producing regions in the world.

Cooking workshops at Dingup House  offer a unique and immersive culinary experience and provide guests with the opportunity to learn about tradition cooking methods and the regions rich food culture. 

Participants have the opportunity to learn about farm to table philosophy  as well as explore the surrounding countryside meeting local producers and farmers.
